Terms & Privacy

Short, in plain words, and written to be kept. If anything here conflicts with what a sales page says, this page wins.

The short version. You're buying a weekly analysis email about your own fantasy football team. It is not advice, not a guarantee, and not a bet. We publish probabilities we can defend and stay quiet where we can't. If you're unhappy in the first two weeks we refund you, no questions. If something goes wrong beyond that, what you paid us is the limit of what you can get back. Everything below says the same things in more detail.

1. What you're buying

A weekly report on your own fantasy football team, emailed during the NFL regular season and your league's playoffs, built from the roster and scoring settings you give us plus public NFL data. We never connect to your league or ask for any login. A League Pass covers every member of one league who enters their roster individually; a member who never enters a roster gets no report, because we would be guessing at whose team it is.

2. What this is not

3. Price, renewal and cancelling

4. How to cancel — the actual steps

You cancel yourself, instantly, without us. Open your billing page — the direct link is at the bottom of every report we send and in your welcome email (it looks like billing.stripe.com/p/login/…). Enter the email you pay with, Stripe sends you a sign-in code, and you choose cancel. It takes about fifteen seconds, billing stops immediately, and nobody has to approve it. The reports stop on their own after that — we check who is still subscribed before every send.

One thing worth knowing: clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of an email stops the emails, but on its own it does not always stop a subscription — that is true of most paid newsletters, not just ours. If you want the charges to stop, cancel from your billing page. If you ever find you were charged after intending to cancel, email us and we'll refund it.

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access for the rest of the period you've already paid for, and you keep every report we already sent. If anything about cancelling doesn't work, email us (section 15) and we'll sort it out.

5. Refunds

Full refund, no questions asked, any time through Week 2 of your first season pass — one refund per person (one per league for a League Pass). If you subscribe again after taking a refund, that purchase is final. You keep every report we already sent either way.

Outside that window, payments are non-refundable except where the law where you live says otherwise. A refund is the only remedy we offer if you're unhappy with the service, and it is capped at what you actually paid.

6. How you may use the reports

Your subscription is for you and your team. You're welcome to quote a number in your league chat, argue with us in public, and screenshot our misses — that's the point of the receipts. You may not forward the full report to your whole league in place of them subscribing, republish it as your own, resell it, or feed it into another product or service you operate. If you want your whole league covered, that's what the League Pass is for.

We can suspend or end a subscription that breaks this, and we'll refund the unused part of the term if we do.

7. When things break

The service is provided as is and as available. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any number in it is right — and to the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Two specific risks worth naming honestly, because they are real:

If we can't deliver for a stretch of a season you've paid for, tell us and we'll refund a fair share of that term. We may also change, pause, or discontinue the service; if we discontinue it mid-term, we refund the unused part.

8. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost league winnings, lost entry fees, lost bets, lost opportunities, or damage to your standing or reputation — whether or not we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability to you, for any and all claims, is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. For most people that is $39.

Some places don't allow some of these exclusions or limits. Where that's true, they don't apply to you, and the rest of this section still stands. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing here takes away consumer rights you have where you live.

9. Your responsibilities

You're responsible for the decisions you make with your team — starting, sitting, bidding, trading, and everything else. You're also responsible for keeping the roster you give us current (the report describes the roster we have) and for how you use the reports in your league: they're written for you, not for publication.

If you break these terms and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

10. Privacy — what we collect, and what we don't

11. Age

You must be 18 or older to subscribe. This is a paid analysis newsletter for season-long fantasy football; it involves no wagering and no prizes.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email subscribers before it takes effect. Continuing to subscribe after that means you accept the update; if you'd rather not, cancel and — if the change lands mid-term — ask us for a refund of the unused part.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there. If you're a consumer elsewhere, this doesn't remove protections you have under the law where you live.

14. The rest

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something once doesn't waive it later. These terms, plus the pricing shown at checkout, are the whole agreement between us about the service.

15. Who runs this

Beat Your League is an independent solo project. Contact: hello@beatyourleague.com — for questions, refunds, deletion requests, or anything that looks wrong on the ledger. Billing itself is handled by Stripe, and cancellation is self-serve from your billing page (section 4).
